Values in Action

In my therapeutic approach, I help clients develop greater psychological flexibility and take the steps needed to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I do this through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques — by teaching skills to accept difficult thoughts and emotions, ways to defuse from negative thinking patterns, to clarify personal strengths and values, and to live more fully in alignment with them.

Today, I thought I’d share this tool from the VIA Institute of Character called the Strengths Finder.

This free survey will give you insight into your core strengths and some research-based practices to engage more fully with them.

Some of my top strengths are appreciation of beauty and excellence, curiosity, and love of learning. What are yours?
